ITS – IT Service Centre
This building also houses the IT Service Centre of the University of Bayreuth. Its staff look after the University’s extensive IT infrastructure, including livestreams from lecture theatres, Wi-Fi, projectors in seminar rooms, video conferencing and computers in offices and PC pools – University operations without IT are now inconceivable. ITS also has laptop office hours to provide support for students with private laptop issues.

Student councils
The student representatives in each of the faculties, the student councils, are an integral part of University life. They help new students find their way around the University and get to know people. Their activities range from orientation weekends and pub crawls to mentoring programmes. In day-to-day student life, they represent student interests, help with questions, and offer old exams and scripts. They also organize parties, of course.
