Self-guided Tour of the Campus in Bayreuth
Welcome to the University of Bayreuth! Our campus tour will let you not only explore the most beautiful campus in Germany, but also give you a lot of interesting information, e.g., about the degree programmes and study environment in Bayreuth.
Visitor information
There are no steps on the tour and all of it can be taken by walking or using a wheelchair. The total length is about 2.5 km. The campus is open to the public at all times. On weekdays, the toilets in almost all the buildings can be used; on weekends, some library buildings (Central Library, Faculty of Law, Business and Economics) are usually open, as is the Botanical Garden on holidays. In the cafeteria and canteens of the Studierendenwerk, payment can only be made with the Campus Card or a special guest card. Cash is accepted in one of the cafeterias in the building housing the Faculty of Law, Business and Economics; a café in the Glashaus is also open at certain times, or you can use the vending machines in the foyer gallery of the greenhouses in the Botanical Garden. Further catering facilities are located on Emil-Warburg-Weg towards the city centre.
Tour map
We have set out a number of different points of interest around the entire campus, which you can visit either on the tour or on your own.
The starting point is the Central University Administration, where you can also get a printed tour map. For each stop on the tour, you will find a brief description and a QR code that will take you to the tour page.
