University Health Management
Exercise and health are also emphasized: The University of Bayreuth has its own health management office that looks after the health of students and staff on campus. During Active Pause (AktivPause), for example, trained coaches come directly to the lecture hall and offer a programme of exercise and relaxation. If you are looking for an athletic challenge, you can also take a walk on the Campus Active Path (CampusAktivPfad). Even in the library, you can walk on a treadmill at one of the walking workstations and read books. The projects always take into account the wishes of the students.

Faculty VII: Life Sciences: Food, Nutrition and Health (Kulmbach)
At Kulmbach, an entire faculty is dedicated to these topics in the meantime: diet and exercise are among the most important factors influencing health in modern societies. However, the causal relationships between diet and, for example, the risk of non-communicable diseases are not fully understood. Finding solutions to these and other interdisciplinary questions is the task of Faculty VII.
